Traveling to Cancún Mexico
Cancun, also known as the Mexican Caribbean, is a beautiful coastal city in Mexico. Cancún is located on the Yucatan Channel that separates Mexico from the island of Cuba in the Greater Antilles. There are three main area in Cancun : The Hotel District, the Town and the Ecological Reserve.
Hotel District
The Hotel District is composed of “gran turismo hotels”, four-and five-star luxury hotels. You can see Hotels and shopping centers along the main Boulevard Kuculkán (21-kilometer long). The district generates the biggest revenue and has the greatest economic impact on the nation. In this area you can found a large hang out place such as most popular discos, the finest international restaurants and the largest entertainment venues.
Town of Cancún
In this area you will see a peaceful provincial life and the simplicity of some of the shops. It contrast to the luxury hotel chains. If you want to taste genuine homemade Mexican, Town of Cancún is the right place for it. Most restaurants in this district serve typical local food and snacks. Other tourism attraction including shopping center, theater and cinemas.
Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve
The third district is in the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. It constitutes Mexico’s largest genuine ecosystem with Occupying hundreds of kilometers. You can see a diverse number of plant and animal species here. The government and non-profit organizations do their best to preserve this area as a wildlife refuge containing many species in danger of extinction. Archaeological sites can be found in the surrounding area, extending towards the four cardinal points. Structures tell the history of the settlements of the Mayan people on this peninsula.
